Frank Prem has been writing poetry as a serious pursuit for in excess of thirty years, and has been published in magazines, e-zines and anthologies, both in Australia and in a number of other countries, including America, England, India and Europe.
He has won and placed in a number of writing competitions over the journey, and has performed his work in various spoken word venues around Victoria (Australia) and occasionally recorded it.
Frank has self-published three collections of his work, The Book of Evenings (2003) – written as Frank Faust, Memoir of a Dog (2008), and Small Town Kid (2009). These books are currently unavailable to purchase, but new technology may allow republication to occur in the near future.
Frank’s work is intended above all to communicate with a reader or listener on a personal level and aims to be accessible.
Frank lives with musician, artist and puppeteer Leanne Murphy in the historic small town of Beechworth, where they nestle as close to nature as they can, eat as much of their own produce as possible, potter around with whatever draws their attention and undertake collaborations in their artistic endeavors.
