A Lake Sambell Walk – Liz’s Review

What a wonderful Christmas surprise for me. The wonderful Liz Gauffreau has posted a lovely review of A Lake Sambell Walk.

Liz’s review on Goodreads is here.

One of the beauties of being my own publisher lies in the ability to pursue whims and personal interests. A Lake Sambell Walk falls very much into that category, enabling me to present a very idiosyncratic appreciation of my local Lake to be shared withthe world. I say idiosyncratic because you could be forgiven for wondering what a stray pair of gloves, or a rough mound of sticks and debris, for example, might have to do with a lake walk. The answer is simply that I notice such things, and they find their way into my poetic memorabilia of that occasion.

Liz speaks of these divergences of mind from the glorious scenery of the Lake to the inconsequential detail of the path. It is a delight to have that happen. Of course, it also encourages more quirky publishing on my part, so who knows what may come next, as a result?

Thank you so much, Liz. Yours is the first review of this book and I’m very pleased you enjoyed it. Reassured also.

The paperback edition of A Lake Sambell Walk is available from any/all the online booksellers, or myself.
