I’ve been having a marvellous time today.
I decided that I needed to revisit my Bachelard-derived poems, in particular the Seventeen Syllable work that I’d done, with a view to getting it publication ready.
Long story short, I think I have ome book worth of Seventeens ready to go. The poems I’ve identified all come from the reading of Bachelard’s ‘Air and Dreams’, so I then thought I might look at the companion piece of longer work, which has the working title ‘Rising Blue’.
Well, I’m loving it. Really enjoying re-discovering the work, and remembering the passion that reading Bachelard engendered in my writing.
I have a feeling ‘Rising Blue’ might end up split into 2 books, together with a companion book of Seventeens. Three for the price . . . LOL
Don’t know what I’m talking about? No worries. This link goes to one of the poems from this particular set called ‘To Dream Hospital‘. Feel free to check it out.

It’s great to hear that your writing is going so well, Frank!

It’s a great pleasure to revisit after quite a while and still find the work engaging, Liz. Bachelard was all about imagery for me and I’m finding it reflected in the poetry of that project. Delighted, really.
