A Bear called Frank

Waiting for Frank Bear is released over thext 24 hours or so and I’m delighted that good friend and Melbourne author ANdrea Flory (Meeks) has posted an encouragement to buy on her blogging page.

I’m delighted on behalf of the Bears. I still find them irresistable creatures and hope that the Book does them justice.

No, this post is about my good friend Frank Prem and the Beechworth Bakery Bears he has come to know and love. Frank is an Aussie poet-storyteller who brought me to tears with his stories of the Black Saturday bushfires that killed so many in our state. This time, however, Frank has created a beautiful book about teddy bears:

  1. I have just started to read Beeworth bears and their long wait for Frank bear. My husband asked what I was reading and I told him Tom said “That wouldn’t have been written by a certain writer we know who lives in Beechworth would it?” then listened with the appropriate “ooh” and “aah.” to the verses I read.
    I think this one will be a winner Frank It deserves to be.
