The wonderful Smorgasbord Blog Magazine has added (soon to be released) A Lake Sambell Walk to its showcase of reading treasures, along with Sally Cronin’s review of my previous picture poetry book Sheep On The Somme.
Thank you so much for your support, Sally. This walk wiould be a lonely one without this support to bring it to the attention of readers and fellow hikers.
BTW the cover photo features a group of cormorants sitting in a dead tree on the lake. They amused me enormously, by doing nothing except stretching wings to dry. There is a series of 4 pics of them ignoring each other and being totally bored until a new arrival lands to dry off, as well. Not sure why but they made ma laugh (a little too much, perhaps . . .)
Delighted to share the news of the latest poetry collection by Frank Prem – A Lake Sambell Walk: Picture-Poetry en plein air (Picture Poetry)
About the collection
A Lake Sambell Walk is a stroll around the iconic man-made lake that lies at the heart of historically significant Beechworth, Victoria (Australia).
The lake was created by gold miners of the 19th century washing away the soil in their wild search for gold at the height of the gold rush era.
Today, the lake is a beautiful setting for fish and ducks and dabchicks (grebes).
Join Frank Prem for pleasant armchair stroll in A LAke Sambell Walk.
Welcome to Beechworth!
