Gee this is turning into a fun week.
Today I received my first order of hardcover books, which is just lovely.
Very special, though was receiving the dustcover edition that I created just to see how it would turn out(ie not with any intention to sell).
Well, I have pictures!
The book is a 9 inch by 6 inch size. This is the same as my usual poetry paperback books.
Above is the back cover with my lovely new Wild Arancini Press logo (designed by Leanne).
It took a little thinking to comprehend the way inside flaps (front and back) have to work.
Usually, I would have a little section in the interior of the book – near the end – for my bit of biography, but then is the question – what do I put on the back sleeve?
Not my soldiers have begun their march across the Somme from this relatively clean starting point.
A very clean inner cover – called ‘digital cloth’.
Gold stamped lettering on the spine.
The interior has come up well. It required a fairly major re-design from the picture book versions, resulting in this edition going over 400 pages, whereas the other two are 394 pages respectively.
That’s today’s news.
I have a picture of all three editions that I’ll post at some point. I lst half a day today chasing down a rabbit hole to eliminate background on the image and try to achieve something clever with it. I should know better.
I hope you are having a wonderful day, in whichever part of the world you are in today.
