a kiss
from the warming sun
golden gleams
hold the touch
of dawn
I stand
eyes closed
and basking
there is peace
within the falling ray
solace in the touch
of light
who can think . . .
anything
at such a moment
a motor roar
is streaming past
too close
(about a million miles)
but I can tune it out
can tune me
in
can call the clouds
can call birds
to sing
I can be
almost
everything
in solace . . .

Frank, as our country worries about what to do about a wayward President and his wayward followers, this is the most comforting piece I’ve read in the past 4 or 5 days! Thank you for this glimmer of hope!

I’ve been riveted and appalled by what I’ve seen on the news.
The solace of the sun, at least, is still available for us, even in these dark times.

It’s been one of those weeks — can’t watch what’s going on, but can’t pull yourself away! Stay tuned for the next couple of weeks (or more) — I don’t think we’ve seen the last of this yet. The House of Reps is likely to impeach if Trump doesn’t resign (not likely), and if Pence doesn’t invoke the 25th amendment. There is a feeling of urgency finally to get him out of office ASAP!
