Sunday Book Review – A Kiss for the Worthy by Frank Prem #Poetry

Thank you, Debby Gies for your wonderful review of A Kiss for the Worthy – Book 2 of A Love Poetry Trilogy.

Whitman is not an easy act to follow, but his love of the world he was in, and the very fact that he was in it, shone through for me.

  1. I finished “Rescue and Redemption”, found it much different than the previous books of the trilogy. However there are passages that perfectly describe my relationship with my husband now deceased, and nights filled with memories, regrets, thoughts and hopes for my future. It certainly resonated with me as all of the books in this series do.

    • Cheryl, thank you for commenting.

It’s very touching and humbling to know the personal impact of a piece of writing.

I found Prufrock to be quite different in ‘feel’ to the preceding poems, also. With that clear lament in the opening latin (to me, at least).

    • Thank you, Liz.

It is very inspiring to have the affirmation, as you know, I’m sure. It has led me to start a new project – bigger than Ben Hur – and helps to keep me off the streets!
