riffing (on a greyhound): #4/7

vision (vehement)

the side of the road
is a mirror
from the rain

in the ripples
pin stars
are dancing

the motion
and the drift
seem to call
my name

I lose myself
in the pinwheels
falling

until the splash
of a tyre
through a puddle
wipes me clean

I look up

a painted glow
on the ceiling

the vision is gone
with
yesterday
and tomorrow
chained with it

there is only
now
rolling on
forever

the tyres
vehemence
raises a splash
again
