Donation to a Bushfire Appeal

I’ve thought hard about how I can provide some personal encouragement for folk to make donations.

It seems to me that the best I can do is offer something that, perhaps, only I can do, which is record myself reading my own poems and making them available to anyone that makes a donation.

With that in mind I have made some mp3 files – eight in all – of my own reading of poems from the current set of bushfire poems, which is still being written, so they’re quite fresh in content and context.

If you make a donation, let me know and I can email a link to allow you to listen the poems.

Write to me using the email address:

If you decide to make a donation, please feel free to donate to whatever bushfire related charity appeals to you – there are lists of them around. I live in Victoria, though, so I am providing the link to the local government sponsored appeal.

Click this link or the picture (above) to be taken to the donations page. International donations can be made there.

Whether you are interested in hearing my poems or not, my country is in a hell of a mess from fire and will be for some time to come. If you are able to assist directly, you will have my deeply felt gratitude.

If you cannot contribute, that is ok, too. I very much appreciate your support of me and what I do, and your thoughts and prayers for our situation over here.

Thank you

  1. Reblogged Frank. I have plans to do something to help, and donate too. So saddened by the terrible fires and loss of life, peoples’ homes. I fear for the extinction of the animals in Australia. Hope in some small way I may be able to help.
