undecided (what to fix)

Inspired by the phrase ‘And time yet for a hundred indecisions’ taken from ‘The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock’ by T. S. Eliot.
This now comprises a part of The Linkages Project

call me
your handyman

call me
to fix a leaking pipe

call me
if you think
it might fail

and call me if
you change your mind

chances are
I’ll be nearby

chances are
you can whisper
and I’ll hear

there is time

for drinking tea
out of
a paper cup

there is time
for watching clouds
while it brews

to make a reasoned call

to change your mind

if you need to fix
your last
not certain

call me
come around

to build a house
of paper cards

to watch it all
fall down

there is time
in the time it takes
to build it up
a hundred

so take the time
all the time
you want

so long
as you
call my name

I want to be here
building cards
or repairing
sundry plumbing
around a cup
of tea

you and I

but in a state
of good repair

but in such
very good
