holding on (to questions)

Inspired by the phrase ‘That lift and drop a question on your plate ‘ taken from ‘The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock’ by T. S. Eliot.
This now comprises a part of The Linkages Project

and
are we not
at the end
of times

you and I

we spend time
in contemplation

self

other

out there

within

and all the ways
of thought
and wonder
lead
to a conclusion

the search for answers
results
in questions
dropped
squalling
as though from the wide blue

as though
from the heart
of storm

from nether regions
not visited
but dreamt

the end of times
my apocalyps-o

we should pack
all our bags
and baggage

but
I look at you
and wonder
again

where

where for you

where
for me
.
.
.
take my hand

forget all that
and take my hand

until the end

let us
hold
