time and hands (in the river)

Inspired by the phrase ‘And time for all the works and days of hands ‘ taken from ‘The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock’ by T. S. Eliot.
This now comprises a part of The Linkages Project

say
to the river
there is time

say to the breezes
there is time

say it to the sky
shout it
toward heaven

for all
who can hear
there is time

time
to remember
all the wrongs
(yea
all the rights)

time to take
a moment
of reflection

time enough
for everything
for the work of these
my hands

there is time
if there is daylight
there is time

don’t I know
the hourglass
is pouring sand
(my sand
yes
I do)

don’t I know
that each moment
is a pearl
(I know
I know
it is the truth)

don’t you think I know
the hour
is coming
(here it is
yes
here
it is)

I know
but
for me
there still seems
time

time is a circle
I
am rounding

time
is ninety degrees
in a the corner
of a square

I will come
to where I started
I will be
the way
that I was
then

and the time
for these hands
working
will be done
