well done (the day)

Inspired by the phrase ‘Rubbing its back upon the window-panes’ taken from ‘The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock’ by T. S. Eliot.
This now comprises a part of The Linkages Project

it is a day
filled with light
from
first dawn

all through its hours
no cloud
no doubt

and in the afternoon
coming on
to evening

it rubs its back
job done
against a window pane

I am riveted
just watching
being
as the another day
unfolded

little tears
little dramas

little triumphs
little pains

the day
is done
and the job
is done

all
is done
quite well
