which way (sustained)

Inspired by the phrase ‘love-root, silk-thread, crotch and vine’ taken from ‘Song of Myself (Leaves of Grass)’ by Walt Whitman.

This now comprises a part of The Linkages Project

I approach
with ultimate
trepidation

ultimate desire
.
.
.
silken threads
run
from me
to . . .
.
.
.
to . . .
.
.
.
what
I wonder
.
.
.
where
.
.
.
down which fork
will I
be drawn

from death
feeling my way
toward
life

toward light

or
do I go
deeper

ever deeper

the love root
is there

in the light

in the darkness
it is only myself
only the I
that is changed

which way
do I go
