The New Asylum will have a formal book launch in my hometown of Beechworth in mid-November.
It’s quite exciting and anxiety provoking in equal parts.
I’ll send out a Newsletter in a few days with some details and all the other things that go along with a new launch (and too much red cordial), but I thought I’d share the invitation/notice of the event here.

I’ll also give advance notice that i’m planning to get a little work done on my web site to enable me to direct sell paperbacks (with autographs or dedications) within Australia. Possibly also to sell e-book versions directly.
Not sure how complicated that might get, but I’ll let you know how I get on.
Meanwhile, here (again) is the link to have a preview of The New Asylum at Amazon.
Hope you enjoy it, but do let me know any thoughts or observations.

Congratulations – although I can feel your ambivalence

Thank you. It’s exhausting, but I think we’re getting there.

Love the cover. I understand your ambivalence. I think I’d rather pay an actor to be a book signing for me than actually do one.

Thanks Peregrine.
It’s all good. I enjoy meeting folk and signing for them. My fears are about organising a flop. No-one comes and we twiddle fingers.
I think I’m past that, now.
A lot of local interest in the book, so it should be all good, I think.

It should get interest across so many levels, Frank, including from the townsfolk. I hope it all goes brilliantly.

Tracy, I think I’m settling down.
Some of the drama was because I wondered whether I should call it off or not. Now I’m committed it’s full steam ahead. All good.
I’m hoping I’ll get some press pictures on the day, but regardless, I’ll post some here.

I look forward to that, Frank. I’ll do a group review and split into three for the usual sites. Have fun.

🙂 Cheers, Tracy.
I don’t know what next year will bring, but I’m really keen to to find out. Just need to get November out of the road.

Thank you so much, Christine. I’m a little terrified of the next couple of weeks – some big personal skin on the line with prominent appearances to launch the book.
It’s so very heartening to know I have folk supporting me behind the scenes.
I feel very grateful.
