dances (too)

Inspired by the phrase ‘Lingered upon the pools that stand in drains’ taken from ‘The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock’ by T. S. Eliot.
This now comprises a part of The Linkages Project

if I dance
will you
dance

outside
in the darkness
broken by moonlight
filtered
by the drifting clouds

and lingering
on the pools
of dark water
standing
in front of drains
on the street

where I dance

where you dance

come
let’s you and I
just dance

across
and on
within
the lingering light
enticing

that dances
too
upon the pool
