into day

Inspired by the phrase ‘Then I see you’, from the poem ‘Madonna of the Evening Flowers’ written by Amy Lowell.

This now comprises a part of The Linkages Project

and today
the clouds
come low

grey
surrounds my head
covers
my eyes

I walk
in blindness

stumbling forward

touch
replaces sight

what I feel
is all I see

all I touch
is cloud
is grey
to all my senses

I
walking blind

in the heart
of nothing

then I see you

the sun
is stronger
than cloud

you
in light

I
emerge

into sun

night
into day
(I see you)

as the night
banished
into a day
