and I could sleep
like
rip van winkle
a long break
from all
toil
I wonder
though
would it be
a rest
or just forgetfulness
a form of
no longer knowing
what it is
that I should do
I could sleep on it
for a long time
I might
sleep
perhaps
when I
woke up again
what I must do
would become clear
good night
now
my pen
goodnight
paper
too
adieu farewell
goodbye
I
perhaps from asleep
bid you
goodnight

I love this poem, Frank. I am not sure if I would like to sleep so much but I certainly do this on a plane.

I’ve been a little overwhelmed the last few days with work on publishing and launching the next book, and have fallen off my daily writing. Very frustrating. Might as well just go off to sleep.
