(PAD #039) like a (truck) bird

wa-dor
wa-dor
wa-dor-wa-dor

h-rrrrrrrr-p
h-rrrrrrr-rrrrr-p
hu-rrrrrr-rrrrr-mmmm-p

I prefer
a magpie
to a truck

I hear them both
right outside
every morning

they both sing songs
in their
individual ways

they both fill the air
with their sound

but the magpie’s air
is a flight
before spring

and the truck
is only a noise
filling the air

I sing
a magpie song

wa-dor wa-dor
wa-dor-wa-dor

I wish the truck

h-rrrrrrrr-p h-rrrrrrr-rrrrr-p

would just
move along

hu-rrrrrr-rrrrr-mmmm-p

and I could sing
the day
like a bird
