(PAD #026) mag-pen-pie

the magpie
crosses the veranda

I am inside
on the first floor
gazing through a window

I am visitor
to a cup of coffee

the tables and chairs
stand empty
on a cold day

and the magpie
with insouciance

between tables
onto a chair

across a table

onto a chair

then a balustrade

falling . . .

gliding . . .

flying away

the magpie . . .

is gone

my coffee . . .

is gone

and I
better be leaving

and I
need to go home

but I
will leave you
this autograph
written by a magpie
insouciantly penning
my name
