a surprise (I do not like)

This exercise in responding to a visual prompt resulted in the poem below (a surprise (I do not like)). However, I thought about it and concluded that there must be more to the story.

Sure enough, this morning (6th February, 2019) when I tuned in I heard another tale, which you can read here, if you like.

My thanks to Diane for the prompt.
