I now have an Amazon Author page. Frank Prem, Author
And Small Town Kid is live: Small Town Kid (e-book format). That link should go directly to the listing.
I’m quite excited.

I just clicked on the link and tried to pre-order, but it said it was for Australia and New Zealand only. Then it directed me to the USA version of amazon and I was able to pre-order it for Kindle (or amazon cloud, which is the reader I use). Congratulations!!!!!!!

Thank you, and congratulations back to you, also, msjadeli. You’re the first. Wow!
I’m so glad that it linked back to the US Amazon, that is great feedback.
I hope to have the pre-order staus removed within a day or so. Your order should be processed straight through to you then, if I’ve understood correctly.
Just wow. I’am so delighted.

Just wow. I’am so delighted, and hope very much that you enjoy it. The paperback won’t be far behind, I hope.

Hey Cage. Red wine night tonight.
Yes, I think ithere will be a lot more. I hope it gets a little more straightforward as I go along.
I still very much have doing an e-book off my own bat (with the help of willing vict… er … friends … all by myself. I badly want to see my poem about war on a dragonfly’s back.

Well done Frank. Looks good.
Possible typo:
“He has been published in magazines, zines and anthologies”
Should that be e-zines?

Thank you. It came up well. Zine is delberate, but maybe poor use. Oh well. Thank goodness I got as far as I did today. Not perfect, but very you-beaut ss far I’m concerned.

It’s a bit of a minefield, but I’ll be giving lectures on process in a year, (after the next 2 get delivered!)

I could do with a lecture on how to publish. I’ve got two books here that with a bit of work could be published but haven’t made it because I thought one day I’d go the traditional path.
As a web designer for 25 years I know how to market and push stuff on the web but I still keep thinking that I’m not a book publisher. (or maybe that should read that I procrastinate too much 🙂 )

Well, it’s certainly do-able, and for a modest outlay I think, or next to nothing if you want to keep absolute control.
Well worth a look, I think.

My theory has always been I might only sell a million self publishing but I’d sell 10 million with trad publishing. I have to go the big path….I’m sure there is logic there 🙂
TBH I haven’t really looked in depth at self publishing. I know I could have and after finishing the first book nearly 12 years ago I probably should have done it ages ago but I just never have.

It wasn’t so easy a dozen years ago. Revolution has happened.

You’re right it wasn’t as easy but honestly I did see it coming. I have always hated the idea of epub and kindle. It’s only in the last 8 weeks I got a kindle and that’s because Dad insisted I take his old one. I’m only just getting used to reading that screen and I still don’t like it completely. We’ve got 9 floor to ceiling double stacked bookshelves here. I’m slow on the uptake and now it appears traditional publishing and physical books are making a come back just like those licorice pizza things that play music.

Yes, I can’t read online for pleasure much. JUst a little foreign to me. Still I expect I’ll get used to it, because I’ll have to. C’est la vie.

I still live in hope that the growing numbers of books slowly pushes the numbers back up again.

Looks good, Frank. Just the (e-)zines typo.

Ah Mick, I shouldn’t have done that, should I. Zine was deliberate, but perhaps not right. Stuck with it now. It assumes the aura of a different person’s work, sometimes, when I look at the completed book. A bit of a dissociative state, I think.

No, leave it now, then. It will acquire validity just by staying there, I suspect.
