I feel the touch
of a wind
that rises
up
from the blue of the sun
I dance
a marionette
of radiance
and wait the wind
still come
go forward
now
I run toward it
comes the wind
this time
I stand
sun swept
radiant dancer
goodbye

This is the final in the NASA pics and poems series, for the time being, at least. I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing and reading them as much I have enjoyed working with them.
Well done Frank. It’s been really good seeing the picture and then reading how you visualise the picture compared to my first impressions.

Thanks. I enjoy this kind of work very much. I might start posting the pigeon poems next.

It’s been a great ride.
If the pigeons are anything like the duck poems a while ago they should be interesting.

it’s been a fun ride. I wish I could write poetry the way you do.

Shucks. Jut for that, I’ll be consulting you on the next book cover (first proofs received yesterday).
Want an e-book?

No worries I’ll be happy to do so. The first one came out so well. One day I might be looking for thoughts and ideas about epub. Changing tact currently and following a different path I might need to publish something one day soon 🙂
Sure I’ll give it a read. Thanks.

Thanks Mick. The pictures are just wonderful, so it’s been a pleasure to write to them.
I’ve just gotten a little tired – so much to do in bringing the book out. Interviews to the left of me, interviews to the right. Between me and Davy Crockett, there’s not a sail in sight!

It’s hard to keep up the creative stuff at times, Frank. Certainly, my brain wants to switch off at regular intervals and tells me to stop thinking and just pour out a glass.
I hope the book is going well!

mmm, that glass! Yes, the book is going well. Tomorrow (I hope) I will get the very last changes back and upload the final book, and get on with listing it. I’ve been going crazy with organising my own promotion and publicity. Not natural activities for me, but I’ll have newspaper, some radio, some author appearances, lots of online interviews. Hopefully some reviews by readers at a couple of the bigger online outlets. They tell me that reviews are gold.
I actually tried to leave a review not long ago and they told me I hadn’t spent enough money to be entitled to leave one. Ah well.

That promotion and publicity! Good luck with all that, Frank, I think it’s the thing I find the hardest. I can write the book or paint the picture, but finding ways to get them out there are hard, especially as self-promotion just seems to go against my nature.

Yep to all that, Mick. I’m trying to zen myself into a place where I am the professional I’m attempting to convey. Except I actually don’t know what I’m doing. Otherwise it’s working fine.

If you find out, I’d be grateful for any tips!

The series I wrote had 92 pictures sourced from NASA attached – one to each poem. They’re all on the blog.
Perhaps a search using ‘NASA’ will give you a range to take a peek at.
Glad you liked it, though.
