a shoelace?

Poem #86 from a series of poems heard while on a visit to a second hand goods market and gathered together as: Voices in the Trash (and the Treasure).

  1. A few years back, a co-worker who had done his time was retiring. He had a plethora of ties he swore he would never wear again. He left them strung over his cube wall, free for the taking. Several of us took one or a few from the collection and left them draped over our cube walls for a long time. Your photo and poem reminded me of it. thanks.
