Beechworth Streets #33: every morning view August 30, 2018August 30, 2018 / Frank Prem when I saw this I remembered a view of the creek of the gorge that I see hung from my wall every night every morning ~ Share this:PrintTweetEmailMoreWhatsAppShare on TumblrTelegramPocketLike this:Like Loading...
Thanks Mick. The art is done in pastel and hangs where I see it and contemplate a lot. The business of water on rock – very meditative. Painted by Leanne Murphy. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
I remember a series you put up a while back with paintings. It wasn’t the same artist, was it? LikeLiked by 1 person
Very likely Mick. Leanne is my wife. Artist, puppeteer and picture framer among a few other things. She has been doing quite a few still life pieces that have come out quite nicely, in recent times. LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, I thought that was the case, but didn’t want to presume that. She is clearly very talented. LikeLiked by 1 person
What a beautiful view and painting of the view, Frank. Your wife is a very talented lady. I drove that road around the gorge a couple of times. Breathtaking. And my heart yearned for the farmhouse on its own in the gorge. Dreaming. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
There’s a ghost story attached to that farm. More than I can recall to tell it well, but … LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
What a stunning view. I like seeing the photo juxtaposed with your and your wife’s interpretation of it. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
It reminds me of a place we used to play as a child. ❤️ Did you paint this? LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
Awesome! 🙂 I wonder what kind of small fish are in that creek?! A species of Rainbowfish maybe? I breed Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish in some of my aquariums. Austrailia has many species of Rainbowfish… some yet to be named. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
That’s rather superb.

Rainbow trout, Tom, if I recall correctly. There may have been some brown as well.
