I recently had the opportunity to visit (again) the wonderful Mill Markets, at Daylesford. This is a fascinating set of undercover market stalls that stocks just about every secondhand thing you might imagine, and a few things that you probably can’t.
With my new best friend – an androyd device – that I still haven’t hooked up as a phone, but which is a wonderful camera in hand, I toured the site.
The series that follows is an attempt to capture the voices of the Trash and Treasure Market. I find myself unable to switch them off, so I have tried to capture them for your enjoyment, here on the blog.
I hope you enjoy this series of poems I’ve called Voices from the Trash (and the Treasure). The first poem in this series is called: I hear.
