calculating an arc

Poem #311 from a series of poems drawn from the imagination and collected as: a Bachelard reverie.

Back to Bachelard and me – Introduction

to calculate an arc
I’ll chase you

a matter of degrees

three point one four
is your head start

to keep it turning

don’t look back
I’m right behind you

don’t look
I’m very near

the wheel keeps turning
you are there
I am
here running to keep up
to keep ahead

perhaps the calculation
is three point one

I’m calculating arcs
as parts
of treadmills

I wish the mouse
wouldn’t move
so fast

around and around
it goes
