shadow dancer

Poem #276 from a series of poems drawn from the imagination and collected as: a Bachelard reverie.

Back to Bachelard and me – Introduction

the shadow
in its glee
is a darkling dancer

stealthily
skip and blending
onto shapes across the wall
upon the road
each where
that it passes

leaning away

leaning always
away
from the light

staying concealed
yet
dancing

the shadow
dark-kiss
casanova

embraces
overcomes
im-penetrates

then moves along
it’s dark by-ways
to whelm
all over another patch
of the wall
of the road
of the alley

embrace
and overcome

im-penetrate

then creep
on
