Poem #221 from a series of poems drawn from the imagination and collected as: a Bachelard reverie.
Back to Bachelard and me – Introduction
it became
his custom
before beginning to read
a poem
any poem at all
he would allow himself
a meeting
with a moment
of silence
he needed
that moment
to
compose himself
to find
the degree of solemnity
that he felt
a poem
deserved
for
in the body
of a poem is buried
the sacred act
that is
creation

Bachelard and me Poem #222: drawing an idea
I think that some of the top poets of the world did express something in their poems that reflected the truth far better than any philosophers have done.

It leads to the exploration of philosophical thoughts, I think. The focus on getting words to say just what is wanted and nothing else – that kind of focus lends itself in a meditative way.
