Poem #210 from a series of poems drawn from the imagination and collected as: a Bachelard reverie.

Back to Bachelard and me – Introduction

in pastel
the idea of Bird
taking flight
done by suggestion

this way of applying colour
will soon
be a vehicle
driving at pace
on the road

and another

these lines are the trigger
for a vision of Horse
in mid-gallop

there he goes
to the back
of the paddock

there it goes
only dust
left behind

and there it is
just like Hawk
out to catch
the suspicion
that I
will now insert

the scurry
of Mouse
