I traveled in China back in the 80s with a group of plant people (I went with them as they had access to some non tourist areas). The leader was Roy Lancaster a well known British plantsman. He used to say there was no such thing as a “weed” just plants that grew where we did not want them to! Amazingly enough he found a dandelion that was previously “undescribed” and so it was identified and named after him!
Great story, Anne. I have adopted, in my own way, a philosophy in my writing of promoting the small or inconsequential thing to the centre of the tale. I try to stay conscious of that at least.
It’s little things like this I very much enjoy.

Hi R. Yes, I’m enjoying these small treasures very much at present.
The world abounds.
Hope all is well over your way.
Cheers.
