to judge

Poem #149 from a series of poems drawn from the imagination and collected as: a Bachelard reverie.

Back to Bachelard and me – Introduction

do not

do not

do not look closely at him

do not look
within
where only a man
resides

do not judge him that way
as a man
judges a man

you will find him
wanting

lesser

pick up the paper
after his pen
has been

look deep
into the stanzas
he has left for you

climb high with them

fall deep
in them

weep freely
whenever you need to

fold up the paper
and place it
in the pocket of your vest
on the left side

do not

do not

do not look closely
at him
