Miss Roxie
is on the bark tonight
Joe
must have gone out
again
and left her
she’s going to shout now
all night long
how she really misses
her wandering man
I live
just a small way
down the road
a road that’s
a kind
of echo-canyon
it rebounds sound
both
up the hill
and down
as Miss Roxie resonates
her
woo-woo
woo-wooo-oooo
and her
woo-woo
woo-woo-oo-oo
she will echo
back and forward
until her Joe
comes home
is he out seeing …
woo-woo
woo-wooo-oooo
woo-woo
woo-woo-oo-oo
oh
surely he’s not visiting with …
oo-oo-oo-oo
Joe is with another …
oo-oo-oo
yes
that man
is with some …
woo-oo woo-oo
she will not stop
until he gets
back home
and
what else can she do
she loves him deeply
don’t you know
she loves him
so badly that it
oo
oo
oo-woo-oo-oo
