the dancers

Poem #7 from a series of meditations: the Pilgrim

Back to the Pilgrim – Introduction

there are some
pilgrim
who glide and dance
their elegance
unsurpassed

they hold gifts of grace
in the way that they move

to watch them
is to mingle with certainty

but you
my traveler
can place your footsteps
in dirt
to raise a cloud of dust
to move
without fetter

this too may count
as a salvation
