oh
oh oh winter
you come with a sky
full of stars
the ground paved in frost
in icicles
you mist my mouth
when I am trying to breathe
I feel you
in my bones
the way that my face
tries so hard
not to ache
and fails
winter time
I should have known
when the Robin came
that you
would be close behind
the clarity
of your nights is a deception
it is just a blanket
of you
frozen air
oh winter
you are come
and I feel you
deep
in me
I am cold

🙂 This cooled us up a bit! It’s hotter than hell here in Illinois!

Hope it cools enough to keep things pleasant Tom. Too much is just too much.

If you enjoy winter I can recommend the Canadian prairies. There the cold will frost the nose hairs and eyelashes! Not for me I have to say I prefer heat.

Not sure I care to enjoy Winter quite that much. I’ve heard of Prairie cold and wind-chill. I’ll leave it with you over there, I reckon.

You are too kind! It’s ok we go to Florida now for the winter. Snowbirds! The advantage of being older and retired.
