go
gather yellow berries
from the wild tomato bush
that has sprawled
all along the fence-line there
bring nibble bites
of juice to me
small bites of jus
to trickle down my throat
dribble from my mouth
tiny golden cherries
little lycopersicums
as tart
as sour candy is
sweet
as thickened sauce
go
gather me those berries
those
yellow draperies
a-sprawl garden fence
wild
golden baubles
tomato mine

well, maybe, but not here …. all that’s growing at this stage is dead grass from last year!
