is it art
when it’s
of you
the picture on my wall
is the path I walked on
today
and yesterday
every yesterday
I’ve known
is that art then
or just a projection
of soul
onto canvas
as a reminder
where I’ve been
where I’m going
it’s just a picture
there’s me
walking
but is that art
well
I can’t know

This is wonderful, the painting and the poem. I have been asking myself the same thing about poems and the poet…the particular rising to the universal. Thank you for asking the question.
