lagoon #15

it is dislocating

I have not visited the pondage
for a time
that is weeks
rather than days

and I’ve had to take
to asking
what you’ve seen

but the lagoon is my interest
not yours

and you can only tell me
it is smaller

can only describe
disembodied ripples

it is my task
to imagine
the rest of the story

    • Thank you. Glad you’re enjoying.

At the time I felt this was a record worth keeping – similarly with the later bushfire series – important things that sometimes go unnoticed or become forgotten too quickly.

      Cheers,

      Frank
