down without care

A Poem a Day in September #21

down come the waters
from rock-pool to shallow
to fall
and to cascade

granite is gentled a-lull
by the stream
yellow and pink
in the sun

but moss must hold
in the absence of any where
its grip grasped to an idea
of anchorage

while down come the waters
from rock-pool to shallow
no care in the world
but cascade
